Five residents have submitted petitions to run for three open seats on the Glen Rock Board of Trustees. The filing deadline was Monday, July 28, 2025, and the upcoming election is scheduled for November 4, 2025. The field includes two incumbents, two challengers, and one former board member looking to return.

Christine P. Parlamis and Stephanie Carosella are the two incumbents in the race. Christine was appointed to fill the vacancy left when Elizabeth Carr abruptly resigned on September 23, 2024. Now, she is seeking to secure her own full term. Stephanie was first elected in November 2022 and is finishing the final year of her first three-year term.

Zhe Tang is also in the race. Tang had previously applied to fill the open seat following Carr’s resignation and is now running to earn a full term through election.

Emily Hamilton Thorsen is a newcomer to Glen Rock politics and is making her first run for public office.

Angela F. Pucci-Bender, a former trustee, is also on the ballot. She served on the board but lost her bid for reelection in November 2022. She is now seeking to return.

Trustee Sinead Rundell’s term is expiring, but she did not submit a petition and will not appear on the ballot.

With three seats available and five candidates running, the November election will shape the next phase of leadership on Glen Rock’s Board of Education.
