Glen Rock Police Blotter – Stolen Packages, CVS Disturbance, and a Helicopter Landing Ahead

During the period between August 4, 2025, and August 10, 2025, members of the GRPD handled 226 calls for service, the highlights of which included:
The Glen Rock Police Department invites everyone to join them for Glen Rock Night Out – A Night of Community, Fun & First Responders on Tuesday, August 12th from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Wilde Memorial Park.
This exciting evening brings together our first responders, including the dedicated members of the Glen Rock Volunteer Fire Department and Ambulance Corps, for a night of family-friendly fun and important community outreach. You’ll also have the chance to connect with local organizations such as Bergen Promise, the Glen Rock Environmental Commission, and our proud local VFW chapter.
There will be special guests from the U.S. Attorney’s Office and the FBI, as well as demonstrations by the Bergen County SWAT Team and Bomb Squad. And don’t miss one of the evening’s highlights — a live helicopter landing at 7:30 PM!
Bring the whole family for games, activities, and a chance to meet those who serve and protect Glen Rock. Whether you’re a longtime resident or new to town, this is a fantastic way to connect with your neighbors and show your community spirit.

7:23 PM – A Thornbury Avenue resident reported the theft of a UPS package from in front of their home, which had occurred at approximately 6:15 PM. The package contained an Apple Watch and iPad valued at $1,684.26. A neighbor was able to provide video images of the theft from their home video system. The matter has been referred to the Detective Bureau for investigation.

11:57 PM – A Forest Road resident reported the theft of a package from in front of their home, which may have occurred just after 2:00 PM. The package contained an Apple MacBook valued at $1,578.05. The matter has been referred to the Detective Bureau for review.

5:23 PM – The manager of the CVS store in the Rock Road Central Business District reported that a male subject has been entering the store repeatedly and shoplifting beverages along with other items. The subject has also reportedly become abusive toward store employees and disruptive to store patrons.
Video surveillance images of the subject have been forwarded to the Detective Bureau for review. Later in the evening, officers located the man inside the CVS. The subject, a 43-year-old Hawthorne man, was advised by store management that he is not welcome to return and would be charged with trespass if he entered the store again. The store did not wish to pursue additional charges at that time.
