Glen Rock Tennis Duo Heads to Nationals

Glen Rock residents Grace Lee and Sool Park have earned a spot at the USTA National Championships in Scottsdale, Arizona this October. This will be their first time competing at Nationals. The pair, playing in the Adult 18 & Over 3.0 W division, advanced after winning regionals in Plainfield, NJ, followed by sectionals in Schenectady, NY.
Both athletes are members of the USTA Eastern Section and train at various courts throughout the region. Grace, who played tennis in high school, returned to the sport five years ago. Incredibly, Sool first picked up a tennis racquet only 4 years ago.
Grace Lee shared, “One of the most rewarding experiences is being part of a team. As an adult, you sometimes forget what that feels like. But when you’re in it again, working together and sharing goals, it reminds you of how meaningful and fulfilling it really is.”
Sool Park added, “What began as just for fun has turned into such a blessing - I’m grateful for the experience.”
The United States Tennis Association (USTA) serves as the national governing body for tennis, working to grow the sport at all levels across the U.S.
In addition to her time on the court, Grace Lee owns and operates Grace’s Granola, a Glen Rock–based business and is an adjunct professor in Early Childhood Education at Passaic County Community College
Sool Park is a registered nurse, working to get her nurse practitioner degree.
Grace and Sool are often practicing on the courts in town so if you see them, please wish them the best of luck!
