Lagemann Named NJIC Player of the Year After Stellar Senior Season

Fresh off his graduation from Glen Rock High School on Tuesday, Evan Lagemann has one more cap to wear: NJIC Player of the Year, as named by NJ.com. It’s a fitting final chapter to a historic senior season and a standout career in black and red.
The Union College commit was nothing short of electric in 2025, notching a hit in every single one of the 29 games he played. He finished the season batting .568 with 50 hits, leading the Panthers to a North 1 Group 2 sectional championship and making Glen Rock one of the most talked-about programs in the state.
His numbers speak for themselves: 46 runs scored, 17 stolen bases, 18 extra-base hits, 28 RBIs, and a combined 29 walks or hit-by-pitches. He racked up 14 multi-hit games, 14 multi-run games, and five multi-RBI performances.
In the postseason, he kept the momentum rolling, batting 8-for-18 with six runs, four RBIs, and two doubles. On the mound, he added 22 strikeouts over nearly 29 innings and closed out the sectional final with two dominant, scoreless frames.
By graduation day, Lagemann had logged 101 career hits, 97 runs, 65 RBIs, 39 stolen bases, and a .423 career batting average.
Head coach Steve Spitaleri called him a tremendous baseball player and leader. Lagemann now heads to Union College, but his name will echo through the dugouts and diamonds of Glen Rock for a long time to come.
